It's monday and the krell is angry. This is a version of the krell patch. Analog modular synth doing it's thing.

Droid kinda sounds from the lovely polygogo eurorack module. In this case it was processing cv input from an external lfo. Useful for laser sounds, droids, future computers, etc.

I'm trying hard to learn/understand nlc genie. Bought the module 3rd hand. . . At least. Trying to replicate the sounds from andrews demo videos are to learn. 2 tri lfos to in1/2 and in2/3. Out- to wave folder and out+ to cv in on vco. The bass drum like sound is another story. But modulated by a nlc sloth. . .

Bartonmusicalcircuits 2lfosh (bmc 017). Manual wiggling. First it acts like a sample and hold and lfo. S/h connected to a vco and the lfo to a filter. Then i'm testing the lfos. After that you hear the two oscillators. Great module. 3 in one. Lfo, sample and hold and oscillators. Square, triangle wave and a mixed waveform!.

Feedback loop involving jupiter storm, a-147-2vcdlfo and a-101-1 vactrol vcfcv injected from 2 x sloth and intellijel quadra expander in quadra moodsome spring reverb. After ~1min i switch "noise core disruptor" (jupiter storm) off. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is about 28 sec - goodonly short sounds - badamplitude variation - goodpitch variation - goodtimbre variation - goodmusical value - low to mediumentertaining - high, or what?. 2hp osc is fm modulating bermuda (using fm in). Pitch cv to osc is controlled by sloth and attenuverter. The bermuda tri output singnal is shaped by doepfer vactrol vcf. The vcf is modulated by sloth (cv in 1) and jerkoff (cv in 2). The noise it from dan, going to polivioks vcf. Polivoks is modulated by sloth. Output from vcf is going to vca controlled by another sloth.

Why did i do this patch from the very beginning? when the voltage on x from sloth reaches a specific value a trigger is generated and i sample the value on y and uses to select pitch on an oscillator. I have built a nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo, the regular version. Sloth is a chaotic lfo. The output is based on the lorenz system. It is a system of ordinary differential equations. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the lorenz system which, when plotted, resemble a butterfly or figure eight (very much from wikipedia). The sloth has two outputs x and y. Think of them as coordinate pairs. The output will probably never repeat itself but there is a pattern. I have built the regular sloth it usually takes approx 15 seconds to make a rough figure 8, one cycle in the “butterly”. Now i’m testing the module in different ways. In this sound i have connected white noise to a filter. The filter frequency is controlled by sloth (x output). In this patch i have set the initial frequency low. That’s why there is a low humming wind noise between the “tops”. The output sound from filter goes to reverb. The sound is more a study of sloth behavior than an attempt to create a great wind sound.

Till det "skrynkliga" ljudet använder jag en pip slope modulerad av jerkoff och sloth. Ljudkällan är en sinus som går via en lugnt modulerad wave shaper. En envelope follower plus sloth ger en trg till en s/h ibland och då byts tonen. Skrynkelljudet går även till mitt analoga delay. Tonen är även liiite modulerad av en env.
